THERAPIST IN MESA, AZ
Hi, I'm Raechel. It’s so nice to meet you!
You’re constantly worrying about what others think, putting everyone’s needs before your own, and feeling like no matter how much you do, it’s never enough. When things feel out of your control, the anxiety, guilt, and pressure to hold it all together can leave you exhausted and disconnected from yourself.
In our work together, I will help you not only know you are enough, but actually feel it. You won’t need to find ways to prove your worth to others, because you will be confident in yourself. You will be able to trust yourself in your decisions and live in a way that actually lines up with your values. You will be able to stop the spirals of overthinking and seeking reassurance so you can spend more energy on the things that actually matter to you.
You will finally add your name to the list of people to take care of.
MY APPROACH
In our work together I will…
𑁍 Be a safe space for you to vent, complain, laugh or cry.
𑁍 Help you understand where these patterns of people-pleasing came from so we can address the root cause.
𑁍 Identify the rules you set for yourself that aren’t working anymore so you can actually start living the life you want.
𑁍 Process the past experiences contributing to the challenges you are facing so that you can actually heal on a deeper level.
𑁍 Teach you concrete skills that you can use that are tailored to your experience.
𑁍 Be your biggest hype girl as you navigate the tough conversations with your loved ones.
On a More Personal Note
As an oldest daughter, mom of two toddlers, and recovering people-pleaser, I get it! I know how hard it can feel to keep your head above water sometimes with the demands of life and motherhood, all while taking care of your own needs. I am here to support you every step of the way!
Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my husband and two boys, going to the gym, playing card games, going to concerts, watching reality-competition shows, and trying new sourdough flavors.
-
I primarily use techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for individuals and Gottman Method for couples.
-
Our first session is about getting to know you and coming up with a plan on how to reach your goals. We will collaborate together on what techniques would best fit your needs and personal preferences!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona and Oklahoma. I completed my EMDR training from a EMDRIA-approved program. I have specialized training in ACT, and have completed Gottman level one training.
